Advancing the Art of Timing
The Sparc2 software is specifically designed to time and score RC racing. Sparc2 combines the functionality of previous Sparc programs, while adding several new features. Developed by AMB’s Software Division, Sparc2 offers adjustable print columns, intuitive wizards for starting grids and merging of races. It consists of two programs: Administrator and Operator.

Administrator Program
The Administrator Program consists of 2 tabs: Registration and Processing. In the Registration tab the competitor database stores information about your racers including their Personal Transponder number. Once entered, registering a competitor for the next race is just a matter of using the mouse to drag them into the race in which they will participate. You can import competitors into Sparc2 using CSV files or competitors exported from a previous software program such as Sparc1. In the Registration tab you can also create new events with a few clicks of a mouse button using the Event Wizard. In the Processing tab there are several options for merging results of races to generate the lineup for semi-final or main events. It is possible to add your own logo to the customizable print templates which have adjustable columns and font sizes and can be exported to CSV, HTML and TXT files. You can also upload your events to www.mylaps.com.

Operator Program
The Operator Program consists of 3 tabs: Schedule, Passings, and Results. In the Schedule tab you can select the heat for timing. You will also find general information about the heat and the competitors in the selected heat. In the Passing tab you will find all the data from the decoder along with any manual additions to the timing and scoring of the selected heat. You can also remove and invalidate passings. In the Results tab you will see the current positions and eventually the final results of the heat, which can be sorted in various ways. You can choose for practice, qualification or race results. If you double click on a competitor in the Result tab, you will go to a Penalty screen where you can give a competitor various penalties.

3rd Party Software
AMB is proud to have teamed with several 3rd party software developers, allowing tracks and clubs to pick the software that is right for them. Software such as Alycat, Autoscore, bbkRC, JLap, RC Scoring Pro and LapsFree are among the many timing software options available for the AMBrc system, each with their own strengths and benefits. These programs can be purchased directly from their developers.
