Blokart and AMB team up for the 2008 Ivanpah Blokart Open and Rally

The 2008 Ivanpah Blokart Open and Rally was held on March 30 thru April 2nd. Ivanpah is 35 miles south of Las Vegas. The main feature of this year's event was the first ever partnering in North America of blokart racing and AMB's ChipX system. Coupled with sport specific software written by John Endean of Great Britain and sponsored by BT Racing, the system performed beautifully as the event completed 16 races in rapid succession. The satisfaction of the competitors using the system was evident as there were no complaints when compared to older hand scoring methods.

This event marks the beginning of a scoring system that is so compact it will be the first system that fits into a hardened equipment case for travel overseas. This summer, four more events are already scheduled in Great Britain, with interest from countries such as France, Denmark and Belgium.
